The following highway work is scheduled, weather permitting, in the Culpeper District during the upcoming week. Traffic movements may be restricted and speed limits reduced in work zones. (NEW) or (UPDATE) indicate revisions since last week’s report.

Albemarle County
(NEW) Interstate 64 – Sign installation eastbound near mile marker 124. Right shoulder closed. Be alert for workers near travel lanes Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
(NEW) Interstate 64 – Sign installation westbound near mile marker 125. Right shoulder closed, be alert for workers near travel lanes Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Route 231 (Gordonsville Road) – Bridge work over Howard Creek near Route 860 (Klockner Road). Expect lane closures controlled by flagging Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Route 631 (Rio Road East) – Signal modifications to install pedestrian crossings at Route 652 (Old Brook Road). Expect lane closures Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

(NEW) Route 743 (Hydraulic Road) – Signal modifications to install pedestrian crossings at Route 657 (Whitewood Road). Expect lane closures Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Culpeper County
(NEW) Route 663 (Alanthus Road) – Culvert repairs between Route 685 (Auburn Road) and Route 29 (James Madison Highway). Expect alternating lane closures controlled by flagging Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Fauquier County
(NEW) Route 17 (Marsh Road) – Utility work under VDOT permit between Route 663 (Balls Mill Road) and Route 844 (Fayettesville Road). Right lane closed Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
(NEW) Route 17 (James Madison Highway) – Brush removal from Route 15/17/29 (James Madison Highway) to Route 699 (Merry Oaks Road). Expect intermittent lane closures Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
(NEW) Route 15/29 (Lee Highway) – Brush removal from Route 880 (Lord Fairfax Drive) to the Prince William County line. Expect alternating lane closures in both directions Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
(NEW) Route 624 (Crenshaw Road) – Culvert pipe repairs between Route 715 (Oak Spring Road) and Route 50 (John S. Mosby Highway). Road closed to through traffic Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Use alternate routes.
(NEW) Route 677 (Oak Hill Road) – Culvert pipe repairs between Frontage Route 185 (Grove Lane) and the dead end. Road closed to through traffic Wednesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Road will be open to traffic at night. Use alternate routes.
(NEW) Route 698 (Obannon Road) – Culvert pipe repairs between Route 17 (James Madison Highway) and Route 746 (Mount Eccentric Road). Road closed to through traffic Monday through Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Road will be open to traffic at night. Use alternate routes.
(NEW) Route 703 (Enon Church Road) – Culvert pipe repairs between Route 17 and the dead end. Road closed to through traffic Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Road will be open to traffic at night. Use alternate routes.
Greene County
(UPDATE) Route 631 (Haneytown Road) – Replacement of bridge over Haneytown Creek. Bridge is open to traffic. Expect intermittent lane closures for final project tasks.
Louisa County
(UPDATE) Interstate 64 – Overnight bridge painting between mile marker 141 and 138 on Route 607 (Rock Quarry Road) bridge over I-64. Expect delays Monday through Friday 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
(UPDATE) Interstate 64 – Westbound tree removal operations between mile marker 147 and 136. Expect lane closures Monday through Friday 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Route 657 (Apple Grove Road) – Replacement of bridge over Cub Creek. Road closed to through traffic. Use alternate routes. Estimated completion Dec. 14.
Route 850 (Anna Coves Boulevard) – Pipe replacement. Road reduced to one lane through project completion.
Orange County
Route 3 (Germanna Highway) – Signal and intersection improvements at Route 20 (Constitution Highway). Expect alternating shoulder closures Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and overnight lane closures from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday.
(NEW) Route 33 (Spotswood Trail) – Sign installation between Route 645 (Magnolia Road) and Route 664 (Buzzard Hollow Road). Be alert for workers near travel lanes Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Rappahannock County
Route 211/522 (Lee Highway) – Westbound bridge replacement over the North Fork Thornton River. Westbound bridge closed to traffic. Obey new traffic pattern. Westbound traffic will use eastbound left lane. Anticipated completion July 2019.
