VDOT has engaged a team of A. Morton Thomas and Associates Inc., supported by partner Brown and Caldwell, to assist in implementing its municipal separate storm sewer system program.

VDOT crews and contractors have been out all day plowing and treating roadways after a snowstorm left 3 to 6 inches in the Central Shenandoah Valley on Sunday.

The following is a list of highway work that may affect traffic in the Staunton District during the coming weeks.

For the second straight Sunday, a winter storm is bringing snow to the Shenandoah Valley and Alleghany Highlands.

The following highway work is scheduled, weather permitting, in the Culpeper District during the upcoming week.

Update: Thursday, 6:52 p.m. Route 810 (Blackwells Hollow Road) is once again open to traffic.

Update: Thursday, 6:50 p.m. Route 668 (Fox Mountain Road) is once again open to traffic.

Overnight refreezing and some additional snow showers have created slick driving conditions Tuesday morning in many parts of the Shenandoah Valley and Alleghany Highlands.

A burst of snow early this morning across much of Northern Virginia is coating roads and making travel hazardous.
