School divisions in Southwest Virginia, Richmond to benefit from grant to fight childhood hunger

Governor Terry McAuliffe and First Lady Dorothy McAuliffe announced Monday that high-poverty schools in Richmond and seven Southwest Virginia school divisions will participate in a demonstration project to reduce childhood hunger and improve food security among low-income families.

Governor McAuliffe announces agriculture, forestry planning grants for Orange County, City of Richmond

Governor Terry McAuliffe announced the award of two planning grants from the Governor’s Agriculture and Forestry Industries Development Fund (AFID). Projects in Orange County and the City of Richmond have been awarded $40,000 to support the growth of agricultural and forestry projects in the Commonwealth.
