The Virginia Department of Transportation will close a portion of Interstate 64 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on March 10 and March 11 for bridge work between mile markers 89 and 93 in the Fishersville area of Augusta County.

At 4:55 am Wednesday (Oct. 30), Virginia State Police Trooper G.D. McCoy Jr. responded to a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 64 at the 89 mile marker in Augusta County. A tractor-trailer heading east on I-64 ran off the left side of the road and overturned in the median.

Motorists should be alert for northbound and southbound “slow‐roll” lane closures on Sunday, September 8 along Interstate 81 in Augusta County. The brief closures are needed for installation of a fiber-optic line over the interstate at exit 213.

Virginia State Police are investigating the cause of a fatal crash that occurred Thursday morning (Sept. 5, 2013) on Interstate 81 in Rockingham County. At 6:34 a.m., state police was called to the scene of the two-vehicle crash in the northbound lanes of I-81 at the 245 mile marker.
