On May 31, 2013, the Harrisonburg Community Health Center applied to the Department of Health and Human Services for additional Outreach Funding to add staff to help patients become familiar with and enroll in affordable health insurance coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplaces, Medicaid, or the Children’s Health Insurance Program.

The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce is collecting food and donations for the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank now through July 4th in the Governor’s Bowl Food and Fund Drive competition.
