The Holiday Market returns to Downtown Charlottesville Saturday. The festive outdoor market features over 100 local vendors with a variety of unique gifts, decorations, food and crafts. All items are handmade, homegrown or home baked by local farmers, artists or bakers.

Due to the Barracks Road’s Annual Holiday Parade, Charlottesville Area Transit (CAT) will detour Routes 5, 7, and 8 on Friday, November 27. The detour will bypass both the CVS and Kroger bus stops.

On Jan. 30, 2016, Charlottesville Area Transit will implement a new service schedule. As part of the update, several routes will experience minor routing realignments, time point shifts, and/or the relocation of select bus stops. The changes are intended to increase passenger safety and improve system performance.

The Charlottesville Area Transit Free Trolley will soon end a long term detour. On Monday, the Free Trolley will resume service to 2nd Street on the Downtown Mall.

St. Anne’s-Belfield School will host the inaugural Charlottesville Girls on the Run Celebration 5K on Sunday, Nov. 15. More than 150 area girls between the ages of eight and 13 will come together to complete the race and celebrate a successful fall season.
