Update: Traffic open at Route 151/Route 250 after motor vehicle crash

Update: Sunday, 5:15 p.m. Route 151/Critzer Shop Road near Route 250/Rockfish Gap Turnpike is now reopened to traffic following an earlier motor vehicle crash.

Officers responded to a motor vehicle crash around 2:30 pm on Route 151/Critzer Shop Road, near the intersection of Route 250/Rockfish Gap Turnpike. The crash occurred when a southbound vehicle crossed into the northbound travel lane, hitting another vehicle head-on. A total of five individuals from both vehicles were transported with non-life threatening injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

 

Update: Sunday, 4:38 p.m. Route 151/Critzer Shop Road near Route 250/Rockfish Gap Turnpike is operating two-way traffic with a single lane due to an earlier motor vehicle crash.

Officers are directing traffic. Please proceed with caution through the area and consider alternate routes.
