Satterley previously wrestled in the WWE, under the ring name Neville, where his aerial exploits and dominance earned him the monikers “The Man That Gravity Forgot” and “King of the Cruiserweights.”
At present, the cause of death has not yet been provided.
The news came just a day after PAC wrestled at AEW’s “All Out” pay-per-view in Chicago, against longtime adversary Andrade El Idolo.
During the course of his extraordinary career, Satterley won championship gold the world over. In AEW, he was the inaugural AEW All-Atlantic Champion, which would later become rechristened as the AEW International Championship. He also captured the AEW World Trios Championships on two separate occasions: once with the Lucha Brothers, Rey Fenix and Penta; and later with The Death Riders.
In WWE, Satterley experienced a measure success as a singles wrestler; winning both the NXT Championship and the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.
In Japan, he was known for his extensive work in Dragongate, where he spent a considerable amount of time both before and after his five-year long tenure in the WWE. His hard work culminated in a 229-day reign as the Open the Dream Gate Champion, the promotion’s grandest prize, in 2019.
In the hours since his passing, tributes have poured in from Satterley’s peers.
