Waynesboro man arrested in connection with shooting in Augusta County

A Waynesboro man is in custody in relation to a shooting in Augusta County early Sunday morning.

David Lee Blair Jr., 27, of Waynesboro, turned himself in on Sunday afternoon, and faces attempted malicious wounding charges.

The call related to the incident was made at 8:30 a.m. Sunday. Deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of White Hill Road in the Mint Spring area, and the victim reported that the suspect had fired multiple shots, and several struck a vehicle.

The suspect was seen leaving the area in a tan, four-door Buick sedan.

No one was injured during this incident, though the victim’s vehicle was struck numerous times by gun fire.

Blair is currently being held without bond at Middle River Regional Jail.
