Waynesboro Generals finish 2013 ranked in Perfect Game USA Top 50

champions2-300x221The Waynesboro Generals made one appearance in the 2013 Perfect Game USA national college summer baseball rankings. And it came when it counted most.

The 2013 Valley League champions were 43rd in the final rankings. One other Valley League team, regular-season champion Harrisonburg, made the poll, at 23rd. Waynesboro eliminated the Turks in a two-game sweep in the first round of the VBL playoffs.

This is the second year in a row that Waynesboro has been ranked in the final Perfect Game USA national college summer baseball rankings. The Generals were 36th in the final 2012 rankings.
