generals-expressA Drew Johnson seventh-inning home run broke a 5-5 tie and lifted Strasburg to a 6-5 win over the Waynesboro Generals on Friday night.

Waynesboro (7-10) had tied the game in the top of the seventh with RBI singles from Imani Willis and Kevin Phillips. After the Johnson homer broke the tie, the Generals went down in order in the eighth and ninth against Jonathan Moring, who notched his first save in 2015.

Connor Foltyn (0-2) took the loss for Waynesboro in a long relief stint, giving up three runs on nine hits in five and a third innings pitched, striking out three and walking two.

Phillips had two hits and three runs batted in for the Generals, who fall to fifth place in the South Division with the loss, five games back of first-place Staunton.
