Washington rallies, tops Marlins, 7-4

Washington rallied from a 3-0 first-inning deficit to defeat the Miami Marlins, 7-4, on Sunday at Nationals Park.

The victory was the sixth in nine games for the Nationals (66-63), who kept pace five and a half games back of the New York Mets (72-58), who beat the Boston Red Sox, 5-4.

Stephen Strasburg only went four innings in the Sunday start, giving up four runs on seven hits. Doug Fister (5-7, 4.56 ERA) got the win with two innings of scoreless relief.

Jonathon Papelbon notched his 22^nd save despite giving up two hits in the ninth.

Jayson Werth (5) and Clint Robinson (7) homered for the Nats.
