Shenandoah County: Man sustains serious injuries in weekend crash

A Virginia man suffered life-threatening injuries after a two-vehicle crash on Fort Valley Road in Shenandoah County on Sunday.

Virginia State Police report that a 25-year-old man from Fort Valley was flown to Inova Fairfax Hospital for treatment.

The crash occurred Aug. 25 at 4:55 p.m. two-tenths of a mile north of Buck Run Lane.

The man, who police have not identified, was traveling south on Fort Valley Road. VPS report he crossed a double solid yellow center line and collided head on with a northbound vehicle.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 37-year-old man from Woodstock, suffered minor injuries and was transported to Shenandoah Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.
