Vehicle crashes into occupied home off Eastside Highway in Augusta County

A vehicle crashed into an occupied house off Eastside Highway in Augusta County this morning, according to Augusta County Fire-Rescue.

The call reporting the crash was received at 10 a.m., according to the report.

Battalion Chief 11 arrived on scene to find a single-passenger vehicle had crashed into a house with the driver entrapped.

The house was occupied at the time of the crash.

The driver was extricated and transported by helicopter. The two occupants of the home were also transported to a local hospital.

No names have been released.

Battalion Chief 10, Squad 10, Engine 102, Engine 90, the City of Waynesboro Fire Department, Waynesboro First Aid Crew and Rescue 1101 worked together to extricate the driver and administer care.
