Valley Program for Aging Services: News and Notes

vpasheader0311PRSC Local Council Met Monday: Price Rotary Local Council met on Monday, Oct. 20th at 11:00. Among the topics discussed, fundraising ideas were the prevalent topic. Corporate sponsors, ideas for events and specific organizations to approach were spoken about, as well as fundraising ideas in conjunction with Harrisonburg Parks and Rec.

 

CDSMP Leader Training Completed: Leader Training for the Chronic Disease Self-Management Program (CDSMP) was held October 8, 9, 15, and 16 in Harrisonburg. The new leaders represent a variety of locations and organizations and are excited about scheduling their first workshops. Several leaders commented that they came to learn how to help other people but ended up finding the training helpful for themselves.
