UVA football, Mike London host Women’s Football Camp

mike-london-ndThe Virginia football program and head coach Mike London will host its annual Women’s Football Camp on Friday, May 30. The camp is scheduled from 7 to 9:30 p.m., at the George Welsh Indoor Practice Facility. Arrive at 6:15 p.m. for check-in.

Parking is available in the U-Hall/McCue Center parking lots. If Virginia is hosting an NCAA baseball Regional at Davenport Field, there will be a $5 charge for parking.

The camp, hosted by Virginia’s coaching staff, will include a coaches’ presentation intended to increase football knowledge. There will be participation in football position skills designed to teach blocking, tackling, catching, throwing and kicking under the instruction of the coaching staff. Participants will be able to demonstrate “football aptitude” and skill level with a variety of activities. At the end, of the evening prizes will be raffled off.

The $40 registration includes a gift, t-shirt, snacks and raffle entry. Participants can register online at www.mikelondonfootballcamp.com. The event is for women 18 years of age and older.
