The City of Waynesboro reported Sunday that the Shenandoah Village Drive pump station is back online and is now operating at half-capacity.

The pump station had been damaged by flooding from Friday’s rains associated with Hurricane Helene, and as a precaution, the city had asked residents in the western half of the city to conserve water.

With this latest update, the city is still asking residents in the following areas to monitor water consumption:

  • Country Club area
  • Red Top Orchard
  • Bryant Drive and Paige Street,
  • Stratford Farms (in the Pelham Drive area)
  • Charleston Park
  • Mosley and Monroe Streets (on the west side of Hopeman Parkway)
  • Iris Drive and Ana Marie Estates

The tank is expected to reach full capacity by Wednesday.
