Travis-TrittThe Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Foundation is expanding its fundraising horizons by partnering with Bonnie Blue Concert Series on an event featuring country-music superstar Travis Tritt.

“I’m looking forward to this event” states Foundation C.E.O. Keven Walker, “The concert and reception on January 8th will help us raise funds for battlefield preservation, increase awareness of our cause, and provide a nice evening for our supporters. This is a great opportunity.”

Proceeds from the benefit concert will be used by the foundation to preserve Civil War Battlefields in the Shenandoah Valley. “This year alone we’ve saved over 600 acres of battlefield across the Valley”, states Walker, “ticket proceeds will help SVBF with its current preservation projects; including those in Winchester, Strasburg, Toms Brook, and McDowell.”

Those purchasing tickets through SVBF will attend a pre-concert cocktail reception with refreshments at Shenandoah University in the Glaize Studio Theater. After the reception, SVBF guests will be ushered to the Ohrstrom-Bryant Theater where they will enjoy VIP seating for the program. Tickets are $150 and will make excellent holiday gifts for friends and loved ones.

Created by Congress in 1996, the Shenandoah Valley Battlefields National Historic District encompasses 8 counties in the Shenandoah Valley. As authorized by the U.S. Secretary of the Interior, the Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Foundation serves as the community-driven, non-profit manager of the Shenandoah Valley National Historic District, partnering with local, regional, and national organizations and governments to preserve the Valley’s battlefields and interpret and promote the region’s Civil War story.

To purchase SVBF tickets call 540-740-4545 M-F from 9:00 AM to 5 PM, or by visiting the website at ShenandoahAtWar.org.
