Traffic backed up seven miles on Interstate 64 east in Albemarle County

600px-I-64The eastbound Interstate 64 right lane will be closed at mile marker 114 (Ivy) for an unplanned continuation of work to the bridge over Route 637 (Dick Woods Road) in Albemarle County.

The eastbound right lane on I-64 is expected to be closed until about noon today.

As of 9 a.m. eastbound traffic is backed up seven miles. Motorists should expect delays and consider using an alternate route.
