Town hall meeting on tree trimming in Keswick set for Thursday

albemarleThe Virginia Department of Transportation and Albemarle County are partnering to host a town hall meeting on tree-trimming work needed along the Route 22/Route 231 corridor from Shadwell to Gordonsville.

The meeting will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 9 at Grace Episcopal Church, 5607 Gordonsville Road, Keswick.

VDOT will share its plans to perform tree trimming for safety and improved visibility along a 15-mile stretch of Route 22/Route 231, including a proposed schedule for the work, traffic impacts and best practices for trimming the large number of mature cedar trees that line the road.

Residents and other members of the public are encouraged to attend, ask questions and share input on the work. Those unable to attend the meeting may contact VDOT by phone at (540) 829-7500 or by email at [email protected].
