Corey Ciocchetti, author of the book Real Rabbits: Chasing an Authentic Life will speak on “Chasing Authentic Success” at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, in Cole Hall at Bridgewater College.

In his programs, Ciocchetti encourages people of all ages to chase the truly important things in life such as a solid character, strong personal relationships and a sense of contentment. These “real rabbits” are compared and contrasted to worldly types of success such as wealth, popularity and prestige. Audiences leave with a better sense of what it takes to develop character, set priorities and gain a big-picture perspective.

Ciocchetti is an assistant professor of business ethics and legal studies in the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. He received the Scholarship of Teaching Award presented by the Daniels College of Business for college-wide excellence in teaching for the 2005-06 and 2006-07 academic years. In March 2007, he was awarded the Outstanding Professor of the Year Award by the University’s Alumni Association.

In August 2006, Ciocchetti won the Charles Hewitt Master Teacher competition at the national meeting of the Academy of Legal Studies in Business and he was selected as a finalist for the 2008 “Inspire Integrity” awards.

Ciocchetti earned a law degree from Duke University School of Law, a master’s degree in religious studies and two bachelor’s degrees in finance and economics – summa cum laude – from the University of Denver.

A Colorado native, Ciocchetti resides in Westminster, Colo., with his wife Jillian.

The convocation is sponsored by the Anna B. Mow Endowed Lecture Series and is open to the public at no charge.
