Silver Line Theatre Exchange will present the U.S. premiere of a heartwarming winter comedy featuring Blaire Baron and Richard Waddingham.

Snowbound, by Peter Quilter, will open Dec. 12 at the Staunton black-box theatre, and run on select dates throughout the holiday season.

Set against the backdrop of a snowstorm, Snowbound follows two very different characters who are forced to share space and time in the midst of winter chaos. As the snow traps them together, their clashing personalities slowly thaw, revealing laughs, longing and even the possibility of friendship.

The play is directed by SLTE artistic director Jeremy West.

“With Snowbound, we’re thrilled to bring a fresh theatrical experience to Staunton — one filled with big laughs and incredible talent,” said West. “It’s not every day that a small regional theatre presents a U.S. premiere with artists whose work audiences may have watched on major films and network television.

“The fact that Blaire and Richard live right here in our community makes this production one not to miss.”

Baron has appeared in television and films, including Seinfeld and A League of Their Own, in addition to a long career in stage and indie film work.

Waddingham is known for his roles in the TV series Gotham, the indie feature Laura Gets a Cat, and a range of film and stage credits, including two prior shows at Silver Line (Art, Parfumerie).
