ShenanArts is $1,500 from its fundraising goal to pay for the rights to licenses for theater shows for the 2025 season.

“So close! Can we make it?” the Staunton-based nonprofit wrote in an email to supporters on Tuesday.

The campaign goal is $28,000, which would cover the costs of securing licenses for its productions in the coming theatrical season.

“Starting the season with the cost of the rights already secured would take a huge financial burden away, allowing us to focus on producing the shows,” the ShenanArts fundraising page tells us.

After an anonymous donor during the Thanksgiving 2024 holiday promised to match up to $5,000 in donations for the next three weeks, the nonprofit’s 2025 Season Fundraiser raised $5,000 online within one week, eating up a big chunk of what will be needed for the coming season.

ShenanArts also spends $1,000 to $3,000 per show for costumes and set design.

Donations are welcome online to help ShenanArts pay for the rights to shows performed in its 2025 season.

As a nonprofit organization, all donations to ShenanArts are tax-deductible.
