staunton2editsStaunton residents can take electronic equipment and tires may be taken for disposal to the Gypsy Hill Park Football Stadium Parking Lot on Saturday, April 12, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Any electronic equipment, such as televisions, computers, and printers, will be accepted.  Only car/pickup size tires will be accepted.  Tires must be off the rim, and residents are limited to four (4) tires per household.  There will be no curbside pickup of tires; tires must be delivered to the drop off site.

This year, for the first time, Public Works is offering free document shredding services.  Sensitive papers, such as old bank statements, and financial and tax records, will be accepted by the department’s vendor on Saturday, April 12, 2014, between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., also at the Gypsy Hill Park Football Stadium Parking Lot.
