Two members of the Richmond Fire Department were injured last night after responding to a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 95.

Virginia State Police is investigating the three-vehicle crash that occurred at 10:36 p.m. at the 77-mile marker in the City of Richmond.

A Richmond fire truck, responding to the crash, was blocking the right and center lanes when it was struck by another vehicle. The striking vehicle was towing a bobtail, and the tow also hit a third vehicle, a sedan, according to VSP.

Two members of the fire department were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the striking vehicle was charged with reckless driving.

The crash remains under investigation.
