John Fredericks, a loyal MAGA Trumper, did everything but label the presumptive Republican Party frontrunner for governor, Winsome Earle-Sears, a “DEI hire.”
“Winsome Sears, a lot of issues with MAGA, kind of a Never Trumper. Now, she tried to do a turnaround, nobody really believes her. So, we’ll see how that goes. But not, not the, not the strongest candidate that Republicans could put up, by any means, but we’ll see what happens anyway,” Frederick said on his interwebs radio show on Thursday.
Yes, Winsome Earle-Sears, the sitting lieutenant governor, is a Black woman, who back in 2022 told Fox News that she “could not support” Trump in the 2024 cycle, though she has since made many efforts to recant and repent.
Thus, the “Never Trumper” pejorative.

Now, this John Fredericks guy, he’s not just some interwebs rando – he was the chairman of the Trump campaign in Virginia in 2016 and 2020.
And a bang-up job he did there: Trump lost Virginia in 2016 by 5.3 points, and he lost Virginia in 2020 by 10.1 points.
I can’t find that the Trump campaign even had a Virginia state campaign chair in 2024.
Either there wasn’t one, or Trump/Musk asked their CEO buddy at Google, Sundar Pichai, to scrub it for them, since Trump lost Virginia for a third time, by 5.7 points.
Anyway.
So, John Fredericks, loyal Trumper, doesn’t like that the Black woman who once said she “couldn’t support” Trump is his party’s presumptive nominee for governor.
He also doesn’t seem to like that Glenn Youngkin has endorsed Winsome Earle-Sears.
“She has also had the endorsement of president, I’m sorry, of Gov. Youngkin, who is, of course, running for president in 2028, and everything he does is based on Iowa, is my judgment, so we’ll see what happens there,” Fredericks said in the clip from his show.
That slip there – referring to Youngkin as “president” – will probably get Fredericks bounced from MAGA.
MAGA forgives you if you post racist sh-t to social media, but if you buck the Boss, yeah, that gets you banished forever.
(Just ask Bob Good. After he gets off his shift cooking fries at a Campbell County-area McDonald’s.)
