Villanova and UVA were on a collision course in the East Regional in March before the #1 and #2 seeds were upset in the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats and ‘Hoos will finally get together in December in Charlottesvllle in the first game of a two-year home-and-home series, according to a report on CBSSports.com Tuesday.
Both teams are consensus Top 10 teams heading into 2015-2016.
The Cavs were already scheduled for two other tough December non-conference games – at Ohio State in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge and a neutral-court game against West Virginia in the Jimmy V Classic in Madison Square Garden.
