“It’s never been more important or profound to gather in person and feel the joy of a community built on celebrating music and the outdoors,” said Trent Wagler, the lead singer of The Steel Wheels. “This year, we welcome festival favorites and first-timers from all over the world that will surprise and excite every one of our Red Wing friends and family.”

The festival is a huge event for the region, regularly drawing in the tens of thousands from across Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic and across the country for the weekend of music and, because the festival is held at Natural Chimneys, the great outdoors.

If you’ve never been, the name of the park comes from the seven rock formations that look like chimneys ranging in height from 65 feet to 120 feet above ground level.

Red Wing partners with local organizations to offer hiking, biking, group runs and yoga sessions beneath the iconic rock formations, and Shady Grove, a dedicated youth activity area with a climbing wall, tie-dye workshops, juggling performances by Juggling Geoff, and a mist pavilion perfect for cooling off.
