Patrick Mazeika named Valley League Player of the Week

Waynesboro first baseman Patrick Mazeika (freshman, Stetson) has been named the Valley League Player of the Week.

Mazeika put up video-game numbers in a 4-0 week for the Generals, hitting .700 (7-for-10) with an .842 on-base percentage and 1.100 slugging percentage. The Freshman All-America had four singles, two doubles, a triple, four walks and five hit-by-pitches and scored seven runs and knocked in three on the week.

Mazeika reached base at least three times in all four games last week, and is hitting .500 in seven games played overall this year with a .677 on-base percentage.
