News Update: Latest on Kevin Quick disappearance

Missing Waynesboro Police Department police reserve Kevin W. Quick’s silver 1999 Toyota 4Runner was located Monday morning (Feb. 3) at a residence in the 3600 block of Cedar Hill Road in Mineral, Va.

Reserve Capt Kevin Quick 3The SUV had been abandoned there and was discovered by the homeowner shortly after 8 a.m. The vehicle has since been removed by Virginia State Police and is being examined for evidence in Quick’s disappearance. At this stage of the investigation, there is no evidence to suggest that the homeowner has any connection to the abandoned 4Runner or to Quick’s disappearance.

In addition, the reward has increased to $8,000 thanks to another Waynesboro merchant’s donation of $1,000. The reward is potentially available for anyone who provides information that leads to Quick’s discovery.

The investigation remains ongoing at this time with the assistance of the Waynesboro Police Department, Albemarle County Police Department, Charlottesville Police Department, Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, Louisa County Sheriff’s Office, Prince William County Police, and the FBI.
