Natonals, Stephen Strasburg agree to one-year deal

stephen strasburgStephen Strasburg has agreed to terms with the Washington Nationals on a one-year, $10.4 million deal, avoiding salary arbitration.

The former #1 draft pick is eligible for free agency after the 2016 season. Strasburg, 27, was 11-7 with a 3.46 ERA in 2015.

After battling injuries for the first half of the season, the righty went 8-2 with a 1.76 ERA over his last 13 starts, striking out 110 and walking just 12 in 82 innings of work.

Strasburg was paid $7.6 million in 2015.
