Nationals roll past White Sox, 11-4

washington nationalsMax Scherzer put up seven scoreless innings, and the Nationals went deep four times in an 11-4 win over the Chicago White Sox Wednesday night.

Scherzer (7-4, 3.57 ERA) gave up five hits, struck out six and walked one.

Jayson Werth (10), Danny Espinosa (9), Ryan Zimmerman (9) and Stephen Drew (4) all homered for Washington (36-23).

Bryce Harper (.257/.411/.525) was 3-for-6 at the plate, and Werth (.236/.291/.441), Espinosa (.206/.296/.376) and Ben Revere (.188/.250/.265) also had three hits each for the Nats.

James Shields (2-8, 5.06 ERA) took the loss, shellacked for seven runs on eight hits in two innings of work.
