Nathan Kirby to start on mound for UVA baseball on Friday in College World Series

nathan kirbyLefthander Nathan Kirby will get the start for UVA when the Cavs play Florida Friday in the 2015 College World Series.

Kirby (5-2, 2.28 ERA, 75K/59.1IP) has been out since April 17 with a lat injury. He was medically cleared to return two weeks ago, but has yet to appear in a game for Virginia in its run in the 2015 NCAA Tournament, in which the ‘Hoos have gone 7-0.

Kirby was a supplemental first-round pick in the 2015 MLB Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers.
