It was “the largest crowd I’ve ever played for in my life,” Staunton singer-songwriter Nathan Moore said of his performance in front of 10,000 concertgoers at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival over the weekend.

Moore was named the 2008 Telluride Troubadour and played for fans at the end of the festival, which featured music legends Arlo Guthrie, Ricky Skaggs and Bruce Hornsby.

Moore, who is on tour out West, has a new CD, “You Yeah Smokin’ Hot,” due out in September. An early-release party has been scheduled in Staunton, with details to be announced.
