Monticello Wine Week will feature events in multiple locations June 5-8 celebrating exceptional wines, winemakers and vineyards in the Charlottesville area.

The Monticello Wine Trail focuses on the Monticello American Viticultural Area, or AVA, and includes events in Charlottesville as well as Nelson, Orange and Greene counties.

“Monticello Wine Week is a time to celebrate the remarkable wines being produced in our region and to share the passion and dedication of our winemakers with both locals and visitors,” said Stephen Barnard, president of the Monticello Wine Trail and winemaker at Keswick Vineyards. “With the Monticello AVA consistently earning national recognition, this week is an opportunity to experience firsthand the excellence and innovation driving Virginia’s wine industry.”

The wine trail is home to more than 40 acclaimed wineries, all within a short drive of Charlottesville.
