Virginia-James Madison Series
Virginia is 17-4-2 all-time versus James Madison. The programs last played on Sept. 30, 2014, with UVa coming from behind for a 2-1 overtime win at Klöckner Stadium. UVa scored in the 89th minute to equalize and recorded the golden goal with just over three minutes remaining in overtime.

Cavaliers Play Duke to 2-2 Draw
Virginia played Duke to a 2-2 draw Friday in Durham, N.C., in the Cavaliers’ road and ACC opener. Pablo Aguilar and Jake Rozhansky each scored in the second half for Virginia, which trailed 1-0 at the half. The match featured a wealth of offensive opportunities on both sides in end-to-end action. Duke held a 21-19 edge in shots, although the Cavaliers put 10 shots on goal, compared to six for the Blue Devils.

Corriveau, Lennon Spearhead Offense
Virginia’s first four scores this year came from junior midfielders Nicko Corriveau and Riggs Lennon, with each scoring a pair of goals. Corriveau’s goals resulted in the eventual game-winning goal in each of UVa’s wins; he is one of just two ACC players with a pair of game winners this season. Lennon scored against Tulsa and George Mason and assisted on Pablo Aguilar’s tally on Friday at Duke. Lennon and Corriveau also are the UVa leaders in shots on goal – Lennon with eight and Corriveau five.

The Dukes are 0-3-1 after falling, 6-2, on Friday night at West Virginia. JMU has scored three goals in their first four matches, with Billy Metzler, Eric Schmidt and Toby Appleton each recording one goal. JMU was picked fourth in the preseason CAA coaches poll. Goalkeeper Kyle Morton and defender Bjarki Aðalsteinsson were named to the 2015 preseason All-CAA team.

Up Next: NC State
Virginia begins its home ACC slate at 7 p.m. Friday when NC State comes to Klöckner Stadium. The Wolfpack opened conference play with a 2-1 win in overtime last Friday at home over Boston College.
