Bridgewater College adjunct instructor of music Lacey Johnson will present a piano recital on Sunday, Jan. 12, at 7:30 p.m., in the Carter Center for Worship and Music at Bridgewater College.
Johnson will perform French Suite No. 5 in G Major, BWV 816 by J.S. Bach and Piano Sonata No. 2 in D Minor, Op. 14 by Sergei Prokofiev. She also will present Piano Sonata in D Major, KV. 576 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and “Andante Spianato” and “Grande Polonaise Brillante, Op. 22” by Frédéric Chopin.
Johnson earned a B.A. from Bridgewater College and a M.M. from James Madison University. Johnson has held various teaching and accompanying positions at Bridgewater College, Mary Baldwin College, Eastern Mennonite University and JMU, as well as with local organizations. For the past six years, she has served as music director at Bridgewater Presbyterian Church.
The recital is free and open to the public.
