JMU to open spring practice this week

After a disappointing end to its 2008 season, James Madison will take to the field this week to begin work toward another playoff run in 2009.
The Dukes will hold the first of 15 spring practices heading toward an April 25 spring game on Tuesday. Weekday workouts will be held at 4 p.m., and Saturday sessions will be at varying times. Go to www.jmusports.com for a detailed practice schedule.

JMU finished the ’08 campaign with a 12-2 record and a 34-27 loss in the national semifinals to Montana.

Madison opens its ’09 season at I-A Maryland oin Sept. 12. The home opener is set for Sept. 19 against VMI.
