JMU baseball tweaks weekend schedule

jmu logoIn an effort to play all four games of its weekend series against Canisius, the James Madison baseball team has altered the weekend’s schedule for Eagle Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Saturday, March 7, on which the Dukes were previously scheduled to play a doubleheader, will now be just one afternoon contest with first pitch scheduled for 3 p.m. The doubleheader will be moved to Sunday afternoon, March 8, beginning at 12 p.m, while Monday’s series finale will remain as scheduled at 1 p.m.

JMU’s Tuesday afternoon contest against Valparaiso in Harrisonburg, previously scheduled for 4 p.m., has also been moved up two hours and will now begin at 2 p.m.

The stretch includes five games in four days and kicks off a nine-game, nine-day run for the Dukes.
