The Staunton Performing Arts Center will present History and All That Jazz, at the Dixie Theatre on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m.
The audience will be treated to two performances in the two downstairs theatres. One will be a presentation on the history of theatre in Staunton by Staunton historian Sergei Troubetzkoy. The other will be a talk/concert about the history of jazz and blues by local singer/songwriter Barbara Martin, accompanied by jazz pianist Liz Barnes. After seeing one of the two presentations, the audience will adjourn to the lobby for refreshments and then go to the other theatre for the other presentation.
Tickets are $10 for Staunton Performing Arts Center members and $15 for non-members. To reserve tickets, please call the SPAC office at 540-885-3211. MasterCard, VISA, and American Express are accepted.
The Staunton Performing Arts Center is a non-profit organization with the goal of creating a performance center with a theatre of 525 seats for all kinds of live arts at the current Dixie Theatre and the adjacent Arcadia Building.
