Former UVA basketball recruit Sacha Killeya-Jones commits to Kentucky

uva-basketballSacha Killeya-Jones decommitted from UVA in June. Today, the 6’11” center announced that he is committing to Kentucky.

Killeya-Jones, the #56 player in the ESPN 100, cited his desire to play for UK coach John Calipari as a key factor in his decision.

“I look at what Coach Calipari has done with players like myself, and I see the way he prepares them for the next level and it’s impressive. He is a really genuine person who is a demanding coach. I felt very comfortable with him and trust him,” Killeya-Jones told ESPN.

The rising senior at Virginia Episcopal School also had offers from North Carolina, Wake Forest, UConn and Georgetown, among others.
