Donald Trump cast a mail-in ballot in Florida House race, because of course he did

How you can tell MAGAs don’t believe their own messaging about the SAVE Act: Donald Trump just cast his vote in a Florida special election with a mail-in ballot, after characterizing mail-in voting, literally yesterday, during a political rally, as “mail-in cheating.”

Rules for thee, not for me.

Trump also voted by mail, ahem, in 2020 – you remember that election, the one he claims was stolen from him.

“I’m suggesting strongly to the Republican Party, don’t make any deal on anything,” Trump said during a visit to Memphis, after visiting Graceland, and asking an employee there if he could’ve taken Elvis Presley in a fight.

Answer: not even the fat Elvis who died on a toilet.

“The most important thing we can have is what’s called the SAVE America Act. Don’t make any deal on anything unless you include voter ID and you have to be a citizen to vote,” Trump said.

There’s nothing in that SAVE Act about felons not being able to vote, we can presume.

The mail-in vote that Trump is trying to get in ahead of whatever deadline Florida has in place in its state laws isn’t even for a congressional race – it’s for a seat in the Florida House representing Palm Beach County, which, when you do a basic Google search, narrowly went for Kamala Harris in 2024.

Trump’s gilded Mar-a-Lago resort is in Palm Beach County, so, you know, this would be why Donald Trump would care.

It’s about appearances – Trump doesn’t want the Democrat, Emily Gregory, to pull the upset, and for Democrats to be able to crow.

He could’ve cast an early vote – Trump is at Mar-a-Lago more than he’s at the White House.

Oh, that’s right – early voting is also far-left and America-hatin’.

It would be grand if USPS lost his vote in the mail.
