Community Garden Spot to open in Staunton May 17

staunton2editsStaunton-Augusta-Waynesboro Habitat for Humanity will hold a dedication ceremony on Saturday, May 17, at 2 p.m. at 815 Heydenreich Street in Staunton marking the opening of the Burress Community Garden. This permanent place for reflection will provide a source of beauty and nourishment for the neighborhood in honor of the late Priscilla Burress.

Patrons of the project include William and Tamatha Burress of Tennessee; SAW Habitat for Humanity; members of The Seed; and Williams Brothers Tree and Lawn Service.  Other supporters include: Booker T. Washington Community Center; City of Staunton; Mary Baldwin College; Project Grow and other special neighborhood friends.
