lgo_mlb_baltimore_oriolesChris Tillman came within an out of throwing a complete-game shutout, and Baltimore reliever Zach Britton closed out the Braves in a 2-0 win Wednesday night.

The victory completed a three-game sweep for the O’s (51-49), who have now won five in a row.

Tillman (8-7, 4.35 ERA) went eight and two-thirds innings, giving up four hits, striking out two without issuing a walk.

Tillman is 5-0 in 10 starts since returning from the DL on June 5, with a 2.97 ERA over that span.

Baltimore got both of its runs via the long ball, on solo shots by Jonathan Schoop (7) in the third and J.J. Hardy (7) in the fourth.
