The Greater Augusta Regional Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Boscov’s Travel to offer a tour and trade mission to China scheduled for April 20-28.

Area businesses are being invited to join Chamber members on this nine-day, seven-night journey featuring comprehensive tours of local attractions in Beijing, Chongqing, Wonzhou, and Shanghai. Highlights of this tour include admission to the International Chongqing Garden Expo, featuring Media Week in the Virginia Gardens and Wonzhou, Waynesboro’s Sister City.

“This is more than an educational experience as it includes business opportunities,” said Linda Hershey, president and CEO of the Greater Augusta Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Consultations will be set up with Chinese Foreign Affairs for those travelers who wish to make trade connections to their Chinese counterparts.

The tour package includes round-trip air transportation between Washington Dulles Airport and Beijing and between Shanghai and Dulles, transfers in China, five-star hotel accommodations with daily breakfast, all sightseeing tours and admission fees as per itinerary, and one (1) lunch.

Flights within China will be on China domestic air from Beijing to Chongqing and Chongqing to Shanghai. English speaking local guides in each city are also included.

A representative from Boscov’s Chamber Travel will be at the Chamber’s 2012 Business Showcase on Thursday from 1-5 p.m. at the Best Western Waynesboro Inn & Suites Conference Center. The Conference Center is located at 109 Apple Tree Lane, Waynesboro.
