Currently riding a three-game winning streak, the Lynchburg Hillcats will conclude a week-long road trip Wednesday and return to Calvin Falwell Field for a four-game set against Wilmington on Thursday, May 15.
Thursday night will be a ’70s Night Theme Thursday at City Stadium. Fans that dress in 1970s attire will receive $5 admission. It’s also a Thursday Cheers with $2 drink specials presented by Miller Lite, Yuengling & 97.9 FM The Planet.
The first of two giveaway nights is on Friday, May 16, at 6:05pm with a Kids T-Shirt Giveaway. The gates open at 5pm and the first 500 kids 14 and under in attendance will receive a free t-shirt courtesy of High Peak Sportswear and WYYD. Saturday, May 17 at 6:05pm will see City Stadium turn pink with the 8th Annual “Swing For A Cure” Breast Cancer Awareness Night presented by Centra’s Alan B. Pearson Regional Cancer Center! The gates will open at 5pm, and the first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a free pink t-shirt. Plus, the players will wear special pink commemorative jerseys and use pink bats that will be up for bid in a silent auction during the game. General admission tickets will be $10. A portion of every ticket sold, proceeds from the auction, and sponsor donations will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation of the Virginia Blue Ridge.
The homestand ends on Sunday, May 18 at 2:05pm. Select players will be available in the concourse area to sign autographs from when the gates open a 1pm until 1:30pm. Plus, it’s a Faith Sunday offering $3 advance tickets to church groups of 10 or more. There will be postgame Kids Run the Bases presented by Uncle Bob’s Self Storage. Kids 14 and under that are a member of Southpaw’s Kids Club presented by Fox’s Pizza Den will receive a free hot dog and drink, and Virginia 529 members receive free admission to all Sunday home games with their membership card.
