Blue Ridge Community College is hosting an Education and Employment Fair on Thursday, November 5 from 3-7 pm at the Plecker Workforce Center on the Weyers Cave campus.
Participants will be able to:
- Find out about credit and non-credit programs offered by BRCC.
- Meet representatives from more than 30 local business and industry partners who are seeking qualified candidates.
- Connect the training available at BRCC with job openings and internship opportunities.
- Explore options for financial assistance.
“This event helps close the gap for job seekers and career changers by providing employment and education resources at one location,” said Spencer Eavers, BRCC Continuing Education program manager.
Since employers will be conducting interviews at the event, attendees should come prepared with résumés, references and be dressed for success, Eavers noted.
The fair is cosponsored by BRCC offices of Continuing Education, Career Services and Outreach and Enrollment.
