Chris Tillman had a nice bounceback outing, and Baltimore rode his strong start to a 5-2 win at Cleveland on Friday night.
Tillman (3-7) gave up two runs on six hits in six and a third innings to record his first win since April 18. Tillman had posted losses in six of his last seven starts.
Baltimore broke a 2-2 tie on an Adam Jones solo homer in the sixth, and added two important insurance runs in the eight on a Jones RBI triple and a Matt Wieters sacrifice fly.
Wieters, in his first game in 2015 after undergoing Tommy John surgery last June, also had an RBI double to key the O’s in a two-run fourth.
