Baltimore eeks out win over Red Sox

lgo_mlb_baltimore_oriolesSteve Pearce scored on a seventh-inning wild pitch, and that was the only run in a 1-0 Baltimore win over the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday.

O’s starter Miguel Gonzalez left the game in the fifth with a groin strain. Gonzalez gave up four hits in four and a third scoreless innings.

Chaz Roe (1-0), the third Orioles pitcher, got the win in relief, going an inning and a third, striking out two and walking one.

Matt Barnes (2-1) took the loss, giving up a run on two hits in the seventh.
