Augusta County Sheriff’s Office: 77-year-old man reported missing by friends safely located

Gene Serrett has been safely located, according to the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office.

An Augusta County man left a residence Monday morning and hasn’t been seen since, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Gene Gary Serrett, 77, was reported missing last night by a friend.

He was last seen leaving a residence in Staunton at 7:30 a.m., and his friends report they have not heard from him since.

Serrett is 6’11” and 203 pounds. He has gray hair and brown eyes.

He drives a 2008 Gold Chevrolet Truck with Virginia license plates UTJ8819.
